Directions:
Yesterday, you received a letter of invitation from Tom Johnson, one of your American friends. You are asked to attend his birthday party. But you can not accept his invitation. Write a letter to Tom, telling him your refusal, stating your reason(s), and making an apology.
Write your letter with no less than 100 words. Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter; use "Li Ming" instead. You do not need to write the address.

Directions:
Now there are more and more Chinese people learning the international language, English. Some feel the importance and urgent need to learn the language. Some others are just following the trend or are forced by others to learn it. Write a short article with the title "On the Wave of Learning English in China" of about 200 words to express your viewpoints.
